Driver flees with employer’s SUV, just 2 weeks after being employed

Ongro Stephen Ishade, 26, was arrested for stealing his employer’s Toyota Sienna SUV valued at N5m, on 18 January, 2016 at Probyn Road, Friends’ Colony, Aguigi, Lekki, Lagos, when he was sent on an errand by his employer, Sholape Akinola.

He drove it to Kwara State, to look for a buyer. He said he wanted to use the proceeds to build a house for his parents, who have no accommodation in their village in Cross River State.

He was arraigned before an Igbosere magistrates’ court Lagos on a two-count charge of felony to wit, stealing and granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum
