The I support Buhari group, the franchisors of the #IstandwithBuhari campaign took to the streets in a show of support for the administrations war against corruption. Joining the march by the partisan group was the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu.
The event raised concerns from various quarters who have challenged the agency’s involvement in a partisan march.
Mr. Ibrahim Magu, who has come under fire by the opposition PDP for allegedly witch hunting its members and ignoring corruption cases against the ruling APC party members.
The recent move by the EFCC chairman does not look good for the anti-corruption campaign as he had been earlier caught telling lies about not receiving petitions against APC members.
The marchers were seen dancing and carrying placards with inscriptions such as ‘Help Buhari to Kill Corruption in Nigeria’, ‘Enough of Sidon Look’ among others. See more photos from the march below:
