500 displaced in Gov. El-rufai’s Kaduna as ‘Unknown Gunmen’ kill 4 in Farm Shooting

Four Persons were killed and Two injured were injured as unknown Gunmen stormed Gurguzu village, Rigasa Community of Igabi Local Area of Kaduna state. 

Reports from the area said the victims were attacked by the gunmen after a day work in the farm around around 6:00 pm on Monday. The unknown gunmen stormed the farm in the village on motorcycles and opened fire at their victims. 

” The incident occurred around 6 pm when they were working in the farm. They just finished prayers and were resting when the attackers strike killing four of them including the owner of the farm instantly,” a resident of the area who didn’t mention his name said.

The injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital and are responding to treatment.

In a news briefing after the State Security Council meeting, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi confirmed the incident, saying the unknown gunmen invaded the village on bikes and killed a farmer and three other co-farmers.

They injured four others and similarly many of the victims, the injured ones were rushed to the hospital.

Speaking on the attackers, chairman Interim Management Committee of Igabi Local Government, Jabir Khamis said about 500 people from the village were displaced and government is taking care of them.

The state Commissioner of Police, Adamu Ibrahim also said a team of investigators have since being deployed to the area to unraveled what really happened there.
