Avengers throw shades after blowing up NNPC pipeline in Akwa Ibom

The Niger Delta Avengers have blown up a gas pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, in Akwa Ibom State.

The Avengers destroyed the facility located at Nsit-Ibom council area on Sunday at about 11:30PM.

The group in a statement taking responsibility for the attacks taunted the National Oil firm calling on it  to check if it was a “System Anomaly. ”

A statement by its spokesperson, self-styled Gen. Mudoch Agbinibo on Monday reads, “11:30pm on Sunday, the NDA blow up Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), gas pipeline at Nsit-Ibom L.G.A, Akwa Ibom state. NNPC should check their pipeline if it’s ‘system Anomaly’.”
