Remember Aondohemba Kasaa, the Benue APC Youth Leader who was killed by Fulani Militant Terrorists also known as herdsmen in Benue weeks ago?

The party’s youth leader was buried yesterday amidst tears in Tse Tia, Mbanyagbegh Council Ward in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State where he was the party’s youth leader.

Aondohemba was killed by suspected Fulani Herdsmen who have launched series of attacks on the people of Mbakor killing hundreds and displacing communities. Speaking at a brief burial ceremony held in honour of the deceased, state youth leader of the APC Comr. Tersoo Baki regretted that Kaasa after working hard for the actualization of change in the state will not live to see the fruits of his struggles.

The youth leader who commended the doggedness of the deceased expressed delight in the fact that the late youth leader died fighting for justice and in defense of his people and called on government at all levels to find a lasting solution to the menace of Fulani herdsmen that has afflicted the people of the state.

Also speaking, chairman of the APC in the local government Hon. Alu Jimin described the death of the youth leader as a great loss to the party in Tarka Local Government. He described the deceased as a big asset to the party in the area adding that only God can fill the vacuum created by his death. The APC chairman thanked the Executive Governor of Benue State Dr. Samuel Ortom for ensuring the presence of adequate security in the area which has enabled the displaced return to their farms.

In her remark, caretaker committee chairman, Tarka Local Government Mrs. Ngunan Akoom also commended the efforts of the state government in restoring peace in the area which has hindered the agenda of the herdsmen to displace the entire local government. She called on well meaning individuals to support the family of the deceased and announced the decision of the Mbakor Development Association to take over the training of the late youth leader’s first child.

In his condolence to the people of Tarka Local Government and the family of the late youth leader, the Executive Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom who was represented by Secretary to the State Government Barr. Targema Takema promised to sustain security surveillance in the area to maintain the current peace being experienced in the area. He urged youth to remain calm while government finds a lasting solution to the problem. He maintained that a situation where the life of the cattle receives more premium than humans can not be allowed to stand in the state and prayed God to give the family and the people of Tarka Local Government the grace to bear the loss.
