Yesterday, May 5th 2016 was the sixth year since the death of late former President, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua but the family has been totally abandoned by his many political associates.
This was disclosed by the spokesman of late President Umaru Musa ‘Yar’adua family, Alhaji Zubairu Ali Gafai at a six- year prayer session organized for the late president yesterday in Katsina, said despite the good works of the former president, his brother, late Shehu ‘Yar’adua, governments at all levels no longer recognise them.
“These people have contributed immensely to the development of Katsina state and Nigeria at large, but despite their efforts, government of Katsina State and the Federal Government no longer recognize them and their contributions,” he said.
He noted that even the present leadership of Katsina state under Aminu Bello Masari benefitted from the late president politically, adding that it was the late president that nurtured them to political maturity.
According to him, the family was organizing a befitting activity that would promote the legacy of the late president, his brother and their late father.
