The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has assured Nigerians that the current hardship being faced by Nigerians will soon be over.
The minister said in Enugu on Thursday at a town hall meeting that President Muhammadu Buhari was committed to fulfilling his campaign promises to the people. The minister said that the government is currently unable to do so yet due to some issues in the passage of the 2016 budget.
He said, “There will be employment, school meal programme, scholarship and expansion of small-scale investments in the country, and many more. Our message is that the hardship will soon be a thing of the past.
“The President is committed to strengthening the electoral process and the Nigerian economy.”
“No government can achieve its aim or implement its promises without the budget”
He said the present government would accommodate all citizens, including the womenfolk.
“The present administration has incorporated women and would continue to accommodate capable and competent women in its strategic positions,” he said.
The minister said that the Federal Government would address the problems of the country through the diversification of its economy, quality education and good health system.
